Diablo 4: How to Complete the Wayward Friendship Side Quest

The Wayward Friendship is a new side quest in Vessel of Hatred that you can find while exploring the eastern parts of Nahantu. Focused on helping a young boy named Ajtzak rescue his lacuna friend, this quest has some issues in one of its steps but we're here to help alleviate some of the issues in this quest.

How to Complete the Wayward Friendship Side Quest

You can begin the quest in the southeastern part of Nahantu by speaking to Ajtzak in the town. You'll be led to an area close by to help free his lacuni friend but he specifically asks for no violence, but rather to taunt the poachers. This is the part of the quest where things get somewhat hard to deal with.

It's not that the action is necessarily hard, but due to the buggy nature of the quest and the ambiguous instructions, it's common to get stuck here momentarily.

All you need to do is open up your Emote wheel and use the Taunt emote to get their attention. However, the positioning matters a lot here, so don't worry if you don't get it right on your first try. It worked for us to stand on the upper-left side of the campfire before doing the Taunt emote, as standing anywhere else seemed to not work for us.

This part is somewhat glitchy, so give it a couple of tries in various positions until you find the one that works for you. Following this, completing the quest is easy, as all you'll need to do is meet up with Ajtzak again and defeat an Elite and the quest will be complete!
