EA Sports College Football 25 Guide: Dynasty Mode Best Tips and Tricks

Dynasty mode is the main game mode of note in EA Sports College Football 25, and players can expect to derive hours upon hours of gameplay from it, as they attempt to rise through the world of college football. Here are some major tips and tricks to take note of, to get ahead.

Selecting Backstory

Backstory selection has a critical impact on your ability to play the long game, and Recruiter is the recommended choice, with its bonus to scouting and recruiting.

Managing Deal Breakers

If you get locked out by a Deal Breaker when recruiting a player, don't be discouraged. There is a possibility that the requirement will be loosened as time goes by, and you can still get that player that you were set on signing.

Bonus Recruiting Hours

Team prestige determines recruiting hours, which can range from between 350 to 1000 hours. Even then, a maximum of 50 weekly hours can be devoted to a given player, but this can be raised further with the Always Be Crootin's ability for particular positions.

Coach Abilities

Don't spread your coach's abilities too thin in an attempt to grab every single ability on the board. Instead, have a tight focus on two to three positions, and max those out as much as possible.

Recruit Numbers

Avoid targeting more than 25 potential recruits when setting up your board. Exceeding that will make it difficult to juggle, not to mention spreading thin the number of recruiting hours available to you.

Filtering Prospects

The Prospect List can be overwhelming, so it is in your best interest to filter it down by the most relevant criteria before proceeding any further. Use the Search function which corresponds to Y or Triangle by default. From here, filter Interest In Your School at the bottom to just Top 3 initially, or Top 5 to broaden it a little more later. The top 8 can be used if any remaining spots cannot be filled adequately.

Troubleshooting Transfers

In order to determine exactly why recruits are dissatisfied, simply head to the My School sub-tab under Recruiting. Each of the subsections on the left will list the relevant Players At Risk, as well as a gauge quantifying the RIsk of Transfer.

Cancel Recruit Actions

If you've activated a particular action but then had a change of heart, you can still recoup the Recruitment Hours invested by simply removing it. Navigate to the Active Actions subsection under Actions, select the action you would like to cancel, and then hold down Y or Triangle by default, to remove it and recover the hours as well.
