How to Find the Ruined Forge Lava Intake

Starting Point:

As you move past the camp, you'll encounter two groups of Messmer Soldiers battling Bloodfiends.

Continue southeast past the second group until you find the dungeon entrance.

Navigating the Dungeon

Initial Descent

From the Site of Grace, head down the stairs and turn right.

Climb down the ladder (or jump) and pass the note hinting about weak points.

Encounter your first Golem with a glowing gem on its lower back—target this for increased damage.

Loot the area for Smithing Stones and a Gas Stone.

Southwest Path

Follow the path southwest, collecting more Smithing Stones along the way. Watch for slimes on the ceiling.

At the path's end, take a left to enter a large room.

Exploring the Room

Locate the ladder at the far end of the ledge and climb down.

Search beneath the ledge for a stash of Smithing Stones and Gas Stones.

Lowering the Lava Pump

Southwest Slope:

Look southwest to find a slope leading upward. Follow it and jump to the ledge against the far wall.

Turn right and descend a ladder to reach a lever.

Activating the Pump:

Pull the lever to lower a pump (resembling an Archimedes' screw) into the lava.

Backtrack to the location where you picked up the cookbook.

Crossing the Room:

Descend the stairs and turn right.

Defeat a Golem and a Slime, then gather crafting materials as you cross the room to the southwest.

Through the Broken Wall:

At the far end, take a left through the broken wall. Defeat another Golem and collect nearby loot.

Finding the Anvil Hammer

Final Path:

Cross to the actual doorway on the other side of the room.

After a hallway, you'll reach a landing guarded by a Golem wielding the Smithscript Dagger.

Climbing the Pump Pipe:

Use the lever-lowered pump pipe to ascend (or take the ladder to the right if you miss the jump).

At the top, enter the narrow doorway on the right and climb the stairs.

Claiming the Anvil Hammer:

Examine the altar near the fireplace to obtain the Anvil Hammer.

A teleport will appear to return you to the entrance. Alternatively, drop onto the right-side ledge of the pump pipe to quickly return to the Site of Grace.
